All our prices include local taxes (GST), unlimited kilometres and full comprehensive insurance.

All vehicles are provided with AA 24 hour roadside breakdown assistance. This provides nationwide assistance in the event of mechanical, electrical, cooling system faults and most other mechanical breakdowns.

Daily hire rates are per 24 hour period or part thereof (with a one hour grace period).

There is no minimum hire period and the vehicle must be returned to the point of departure.

Drivers Licence: All drivers must be named and be between 25 to 70 years of age and in possession of a valid international or country of origin drivers licence. The licence must be presented at the commencement of the hire.

The booking is NOT confirmed until a booking confirmation number has been issued.

Deposit: the booking deposit is NZ$150.00. (taken after booking confirmation number is issued)

Insurance bond: is equal to the applicable insurance excess plus accessories security deposits if applicable.

Rental payments: the total rental charge balance (excluding bond) is to be paid in full 30 days (local customers 5 days) prior to pickup (1st reservation day). See Cancellations below for refund terms.

The insurance bond is refunded within five working days of vehicle return assuming that there is no damage to the vehicle.

If the rental is cancelled part way through and the vehicle is not returned to the point of departure, the hirer will be liable for costs incurred for delivery/pickup elsewhere, which would include air fare to pickup site, plus Cook Strait ferry return fare if applicable, and fuel costs incurred to return to point of departure. In the event of mechanical failure or major accident rendering the vehicle unserviceable Mobility Car Rental liability will be to only refund those actual lost rental days.

No refund for late pick-up or early return
No smoking is permitted in vehicles at any time
Animals are not permitted in vehicles

Should you cancel or amend a booking, the following fees apply:
NZ$25 applies to changes/modifications
A minimum fee of NZ$50 applies to all car cancellations
15 to 30 days before booked pick-up day – 25% of rental fee
7 to 15 days before booked pick-up day – 50% of rental fee
Less than 7 days before booked pick-up date – full rental fee

No show on pick up date incurs NZ$100 cancellation fee
Late pick-up or early return of vehicle – No refund

Talk to your travel agent or insurer about insurance to cover any cancellation fees which might apply in the event that your travel plans change.
